Founded in 1978, Ndege Chai Sacco is a deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Society dedicated to enhancing the economic and social well-being of its members through accessible savings and affordable loans. Licensed in 2011 by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA), the Sacco serves over 66,000 active members and boasts an asset base exceeding KES 4.27 billion. Its head office is located at Ndege Chai Building in Kericho, with additional branches across Kenya.
Who Can Join?
Ndege Chai Sacco operates an open membership policy, welcoming individuals and groups from diverse sectors, including:

Membership Requirements
To join Ndege Chai Sacco, applicants must:
- Be approved by a simple majority vote of the Board of Directors
- Pay a prescribed entrance fee as outlined in the membership policy
- Purchase a minimum share capital of KES 5,000 (50 shares at KES 100 each), paid in full
- Submit a completed membership application form, available at branches or through the Sacco’s official channels
Membership privileges, such as access to loans and voting rights, are granted only after fulfilling these requirements.
