Fuliza M-PESA is a popular overdraft service from Safaricom that enables users to complete M-PESA transactions even when their balance is insufficient. Designed for convenience, this service allows you to pay bills, buy goods, and send money, even when your wallet is temporarily empty. However, it’s important to note that you cannot withdraw Fuliza funds directly but there’s a smart workaround.

One of the most common Fuliza hacks is sending money to another Safaricom M-PESA user, who can then withdraw it for you. This simple trick is useful when you urgently need cash or want to assist someone, even if your M-PESA balance is negative.

How to Send Money Using Fuliza M-PESA

To Fuliza funds to another number, follow these steps:

1. Open Your SIM Toolkit or mySafaricom App

  • If you’re using a feature phone, go to your SIM Toolkit, select Safaricom, then M-PESA.
  • On smartphones, you can also use the mySafaricom App for a smoother experience.

2. Select “Send Money”

Choose the “Send Money” option to initiate a transaction.

3. Enter Recipient’s Number

Input the Safaricom M-PESA number of the person you wish to send money to.

4. Enter the Amount

Type the amount you’d like to send. If you don’t have enough in your M-PESA wallet, Fuliza will prompt you to borrow.

5. Accept the Fuliza Prompt

You’ll receive a pop-up indicating that your M-PESA balance is insufficient and offering the Fuliza service to top up the difference.
The prompt will show:

  • Access fee for using Fuliza
  • Daily interest rate (between Ksh 0–30 depending on the outstanding amount)

Select “Yes” to proceed with the Fuliza request.

6. Complete the Transaction

Once you approve the transaction, M-PESA will complete the payment using Fuliza.
You’ll receive a confirmation message showing:

  • The amount sent
  • The total Fuliza amount used
  • Your current Fuliza balance
  • The due date for repayment

Important Notes About Fuliza M-PESA:

  • Only registered M-PESA users with active Safaricom lines can access Fuliza.
  • You cannot withdraw Fuliza directly from an agent or ATM.
  • However, sending to another M-PESA number allows them to withdraw on your behalf.
  • Daily fees apply until the overdraft is fully repaid.
  • To increase your Fuliza limit, consistently use M-PESA services and repay your overdrafts on time.
