Wana-Anga Sacco: Empowering Members Since 1979

Our Heritage

Established on 14th December 1979 under the Cooperative Societies Act, Wana-Anga Sacco was created to improve members’ living standards through savings mobilization and credit access. Today, we serve over 6,320 members with an asset base of KSh 1.27 billion, ranking among Kenya’s leading deposit-taking Saccos.

While initially serving meteorological department employees, we now welcome members from various organizations and individuals.


Membership Eligibility & Requirements

Who Can Join?

  • Primary: Meteorological department staff
  • Open to: Employees of other organizations & individuals

Registration Process

  1. Complete the membership form (available online or at branches)
  2. Provide:
    • Passport-sized photograph
    • Copy of National ID/Passport
    • KRA PIN certificate
  3. Pay:
    • KSh 1,000 entrance fee
    • Minimum 1,250 shares (KSh 20/share, non-withdrawable)

    • Member: KSh 200/month
    • Dependent: KSh 100/month
