About Taraji Sacco

Founded in 1978 by a group of 100 visionary teachers, Taraji Sacco began with a simple mission: to mobilize resources and provide affordable financial solutions that would empower its members. Over four decades later, the Sacco has grown exponentially while maintaining its core values of fairness, honesty, accountability, and teamwork.

Membership Eligibility

Taraji Sacco welcomes:

  • Teachers Service Commission (TSC) employees (both within and outside Siaya County)
  • Board of Governors employees
  • Ministry of Health staff
  • County government employees
  • Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers
  • Ministry of Water employees
  • Registered groups and organizations
  • Individual members from the general public

Membership Requirements

Joining is straightforward:

  1. Complete the membership application form (available online or at any branch)
  2. Pay a one-time membership fee of Kshs 500
  3. Provide a copy of your National ID
  4. Submit a recent payslip (for salaried applicants)
