Overview
Established on April 24, 1969, Shirika DT Sacco initially served employees of the Ministry of Co-operative Development. Over the years, it has expanded to include members from various organizations, growing to nearly 8,000 members with deposits exceeding KES 3.50 billion. As a deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Society, Shirika DT Sacco offers a wide range of financial products to support its members’ personal and professional goals. Its head office is located at Kipande Road-Ngara Junction in Nairobi.

Membership Requirements
To become a member, applicants must:
- Complete a membership application form, available for download on the Sacco’s website or at its offices
- Pay a non-refundable registration fee of KES 1,000
- Make an initial deposit, including a KES 300 contribution to the risk fund (mandatory for all members)
- Submit a copy of a National ID
- Provide a copy of a current payslip (if applicable)
- Include a passport-size photograph
