Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the MBChB program at Aga Khan University, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
- Minimum Aggregate: C+ (plus)
- Cluster Subjects: B plain in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, and English or Kiswahili
2. Advanced Level Certificate (A-Level)
- Principal passes of B in Biology and Chemistry
- Principal pass in Mathematics or Physics
3. International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Grade 7 or above in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics
4. Diploma in Medical Sciences
- KCSE mean grade of C+ or O-Level Division II pass
- Credit pass (C+) in English or Kiswahili, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
- A three-year diploma with a credit pass from a medical training institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
5. Undergraduate Degree
- A bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university
Application Process
Applicants should apply online through the Aga Khan University website. In exceptional cases where online access is limited, candidates may request a paper application form by emailing [email protected]. Required documents include:
- Copies of academic qualifications (KCSE, A-Level, IB, diploma, or degree certificates)
- School leaving certificate
- National ID or passport (or birth certificate for those under 18)
