The Infinix Note 60 has made its first official appearance on the Google Play Console, revealing key details about the upcoming device, which was initially teased at CES 2026 for its satellite calling capabilities.
According to the listing, the phone will have the model number X6879 and will ship with Android 16, making it one of the first mid-range phones to feature Google’s latest operating system. This places the Note 60 as a highly future-proof option in its price range.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset (MT6878). This includes four Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.5GHz for demanding tasks and four Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz for more efficient processing, which should offer solid performance for its class.
The listing also confirms 8GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking performance for everyday tasks. The display features a sharp resolution of 1208 x 2644 pixels with a pixel density of 520ppi, suggesting a large, crisp display. The front panel design includes a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, maintaining a modern and sleek look.
The physical button layout follows a traditional design with volume controls and the power button located on the right edge, while the left edge features an additional button that could serve as a customizable action key, though its precise function has not yet been confirmed.
The Note 60 will be part of a larger series, including the Note 60 Edge, Note 60 Pro, and Note 60 Ultra. Certification from Indonesia’s SDPPI has confirmed multiple variants with different model numbers. The Ultra variant will feature design input from Pininfarina, the renowned Italian automotive design house.
FCC filings have revealed that one of the variants will come with a 6,150mAh battery, 45W fast charging, and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, indicating strong battery life and ample storage for a mid-range device.
However, the most notable feature across the entire Note 60 series is its satellite calling and messaging capability, a technology typically reserved for premium flagship phones. This feature allows users to communicate even in areas without cellular coverage, making the Note 60 a unique option for markets with unreliable network infrastructure.
While Infinix has not yet announced official pricing or availability, the Note 60 is clearly aimed at consumers who want cutting-edge software, solid performance, and enhanced connectivity features that set it apart from other mid-range phones. With multiple certifications and the Google Play Console listing now live, the launch of the Infinix Note 60 seems imminent.
