Design and Display:

Huawei’s attention to detail was evident in the Mate 9 Pro’s design. With Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the curved OLED display and a refined aluminum frame, the device combined style and durability. The 5.5-inch QHD OLED display provided vibrant colors and sharp visuals with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, making it perfect for both media consumption and productivity. The slim 7.5 mm thickness and ergonomic curve made it comfortable to hold, adding to its premium feel.

Performance:

At the core of the Mate 9 Pro was the Kirin 960 chipset, paired with 8 CPU cores and the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming experiences. With up to 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM, the device offered ample space and memory for all types of usage. Running Android 7.0 Nougat with an upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie and EMUI 9.1, the Mate 9 Pro remained responsive and up-to-date long after its release.

Battery and Charging:

The 4000 mAh battery was one of the Mate 9 Pro’s standout features. Offering an 87-hour endurance rating, it could handle a full day of heavy use without issue. Additionally, with 22.5W fast charging, the device could be quickly recharged, ensuring minimal downtime.

Durability:

Thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the aluminum build, the Mate 9 Pro was both durable and elegant. The front-mounted fingerprint sensor ensured quick, secure unlocking, while additional sensors such as the accelerometer, gyro, and barometer enhanced the device’s functionality. For audio, it included stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. The inclusion of NFC and an infrared port further improved the usability of this device.
