Who Can Use M-PESA GlobalPay?

  • You must have a registered and active M-PESA account.
  • Only one GlobalPay card is issued per national ID number.

  • Accepted worldwide on platforms that support VISA.
  • Payments are charged in foreign currencies based on the current exchange rate.
  • Safaricom applies a 3.5% forex markup on each international purchase.
  • Card validity: The virtual card is active for 3 years from the date of issuance.
  • Users receive multiple notifications (up to 4) before the card expires.
  • If unused for six consecutive months, the card is marked as dormant, but it can be reactivated easily.
