Apple TV and Apple Arcade are now included with eligible iCloud+ plans in Kenya as part of a global rollout. However, because the official Apple TV app remains geo-restricted on the Kenyan Google Play Store, Android TV users must manually sideload the application to stream on their television.

How to Install Apple TV on Android TV
1.Install Transfer App
Required for wireless file transfer
Install the Send Files to TV application from the Google Play Store on both your mobile phone and your Android TV.
2.Download APKPure Installer
Fetch the installer source
Open your phone’s web browser, go to the official APKPure website, and download the official APKPure installer package. Avoid downloading modified or third-party cracked files.
3.Transfer and Install Source File
Use Send Files to TV to send the APK file from your phone to the TV. Open the file using your TV’s built-in file manager, allow “Installation from Unknown Sources” when prompted, and complete the setup. Disable unknown source permissions once finished.
4. Search and Install Apple TV
Launch the APKPure app on your TV, search for Apple TV (Android TV), select the newest version matching your TV’s architecture, and install it.
Troubleshooting & Playback Fixes
- Subscription Checks: Installing the app software does not automatically unlock playback. You must sign in with an Apple Account that has an active iCloud+ plan or Apple TV subscription.
- Hardware Compatibility: Older 32-bit processors, uncertified TV boxes, or outdated TV firmware will prevent playback or installation.
- Rollout Timing: If your account shows iCloud+ but Apple TV is locked, the account benefit rollout may still be propagating (rollout continues through late September 2026).
Alternative Viewing Methods If your TV is incompatible with sideloading:
- Watch directly on the web player at tv.apple.com.
- Connect your phone, tablet, or laptop to the TV using an HDMI adapter.
- Use a supported media player such as a Chromecast with Google TV or a Fire TV Stick.
