In a move that’s set to boost productivity, Google has made several Gemini 3-powered AI features available for free in Gmail. Previously exclusive to users with a Google AI Plus or Ultra subscription, tools like Smart Replies and Help Me Write are now accessible to everyone, helping streamline email communication and improve efficiency.
One of the standout features is AI Inbox, which helps users manage their emails more effectively. It filters out the clutter, offering a brief summary of the most important emails and providing quick highlights. This makes it easier for users to stay on top of their inbox without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, the AI now automatically summarizes long “Reply to All” emails, saving time for Gmail users who might otherwise spend too much time reading lengthy email threads.
The Help Me Write tool is also a game-changer. Users can now provide Gemini with a prompt for the type of message they want to write, and the AI generates a full draft. Moreover, users can fine-tune specific parts of the message for a more personalized touch. Suggested Replies have also been updated to reflect the tone of the ongoing conversation, providing a more context-aware alternative to the original Smart Replies feature.
These AI-driven features will initially roll out in the United States in English, with Google promising broader availability in more regions and languages in the coming months.
