Founded in 1972 by employees of the Ministry of Education, Elimu Sacco has grown into one of Kenya’s premier deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies. Who Can Join?
Elimu Sacco welcomes members from various sectors, including:

How to Join
To become a member of Elimu Sacco, follow these steps:
- Download the membership application form from the Sacco’s website or obtain it from the nearest branch
- Visit a branch with:
- A completed membership application form
- A copy of your National ID
- Two colored passport-size photographs
- Pay a one-time membership fee of KES 400
- Commit to a minimum monthly deposit of KES 1,750

- Maximum: 90% of net salary
- Repayment period: 1 month
- 5% facilitation fee
- Requires 3 months of salary processed through FOSA
