Create Unique Genmoji on Your iPhone Using Apple Intelligence

Apple has introduced Genmoji, a powerful feature within Apple Intelligence, that allows you to create custom emojis tailored to your imagination. Whether you’re combining existing emojis, describing a unique idea, or creating an emoji version of a friend or pet, Genmoji lets you design stickers that feel personal and fun.

Note: Genmoji and Apple Intelligence are not available on all iPhone models, languages, or regions. To access this feature, update your device to the latest version of iOS and ensure Apple Intelligence is enabled.

How to Create Genmoji on iPhone

  1. Open the Emoji Keyboard
    • Tap a text field, then select the Emoji button or press the Next Keyboard key to switch to the emoji keyboard.
  2. Access Genmoji
    • Tap Genmoji at the top-right corner of the onscreen keyboard.
  3. Customize Your Genmoji
    • Add Elements: Combine up to seven elements, including concepts, accessories, or places.
    • Browse Concepts: Swipe left to explore themes like costumes, expressions, and locations.
    • Use Existing Emoji: Tap an emoji under Suggestions, or tap Add Emoji to pick another.
    • Describe Your Genmoji: Tap Describe a Genmoji, type your description, and tap Send.
    • Include a Person or Pet: Tap Choose Person, then select a photo or emoji. To add someone from Photos, first name them in the Photos app.

Pro Tips for Refining Genmoji

  • See Variations: Tap the preview bubble and swipe left or right for alternate versions.
  • Remove Elements: Tap Delete to remove any concept.
  • Reset or Edit Appearance: Use the Choose Person button to change a photo, hairstyle, facial hair, eyewear, or skin tone. Tap Reset Appearance if you want to start over.
  • Add Extra Details: Use the Additional Details field for precise changes (e.g., “blue glasses” or “make the hat red”).

Saving and Sharing Your Genmoji

  • Once satisfied, tap Done—your Genmoji is saved in your stickers library.
  • Add Genmoji to Messages, share them as stickers, or use them as Tapbacks for quick reactions.
  • You can also create Genmoji through Image Playground for more advanced image editing.

Deleting a Genmoji

  1. Tap a text field and open the Emoji keyboard.
  2. Swipe right or tap Stickers.
  3. Touch and hold the Genmoji you want to remove, then select Delete.

Why Genmoji Is a Game-Changer for Messaging

Genmoji elevates communication by letting you express yourself visually in ways standard emojis can’t. Whether you’re adding a personal touch to a birthday message or creating a playful sticker of your pet, custom emojis enhance conversations and make your messages stand out.
