In-Person Application Procedure
- Visit the NSSF Office
- To apply for the Invalidity Benefit, visit the nearest NSSF office in Uganda. The offices will guide you on how to complete the process. Alternatively, you can visit the NSSF head office.
- Obtain and Complete the Application Form
- Request the Invalidity Benefit application form from the NSSF customer service representatives. Carefully fill out the form with accurate details.
- Prepare the Required Documents
- Ensure that you have all the necessary documents for your application. The required documents include:
- Disengagement letter, termination letter, end of contract letter, or introduction letter from your last employer or local council.
- Medical certificate or clinical notes documenting the illness or injury (you may be required to see the NSSF-appointed doctor).
- Certified High Court order (if applicable for persons with mental incapacity).
- Valid ID (e.g., national ID, passport, driving permit).
- Proof of bank account details (bank statement or slip).
- Ensure that you have all the necessary documents for your application. The required documents include:
- Submit the Application Form
- Submit your completed application form, along with the required documents and a bank slip showing proof of payment, to the NSSF office.
- Processing and Approval
- After submission, NSSF will process your application. If all conditions are met and documents are in order, your claim will be reviewed by NSSF officials.
- Receipt and Acknowledgment
- You will receive an acknowledgment receipt. Keep this for your reference.
- Collection of Invalidity Benefit Certificate
- After approval, NSSF will notify you, and you can collect your Invalidity Benefit Certificate from the NSSF office.
