Need for the Document
The International Driving Permit (IDP) allows Ugandan drivers to drive in foreign countries that recognize the IDP as valid. It provides a translation of your local driving license, making it easier for authorities in other countries to verify your driving qualifications.
Other Uses of the Document
An IDP can also serve as proof of identity when traveling internationally. It can also be used for settling insurance claims in case of road accidents or other driving-related incidents abroad.
By following the above procedure, you can successfully apply for and obtain an International Driving Permit that will allow you to drive across borders without any hassle.
