Entrance Fees for Aberdare National Park and What to Expect

Aberdare National Park is one of Kenya’s most scenic and ecologically rich protected areas. Managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), the park is located within the Aberdare Mountain Range in Central Kenya, covering parts of Nyandarua and Nyeri counties.

This park is known for its diverse landscapes that range from dense tropical forests and bamboo groves to mist-covered moorlands. Visitors can explore dramatic waterfalls, deep valleys, and mysterious caves. The cool mountain climate adds to the park’s unique charm.

Aberdare National Park is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. It shelters a wide variety of animals, including African elephants, black rhinos, leopards, hyenas, olive baboons, buffaloes, colobus monkeys, zebras, bushbucks, duikers, and even the elusive mountain bongo and golden cat. Bird watchers can also spot more than 290 recorded bird species in the park.
