Founded in May 2007 to serve employees of Strategic Industries Limited, Strategic DT Sacco has expanded to welcome members from various business sectors across Kenya. As a deposit-taking SACCO licensed by SASRA, it provides secure savings solutions and affordable credit facilities to help members achieve their financial goals.

Membership Eligibility

Strategic DT Sacco welcomes:

  • All Kenyan residents aged 18 years and above
  • Employees from diverse business sectors
  • Individuals seeking structured savings and loan products

Simple Membership Requirements

To join, applicants must provide:

  1. Completed membership form (available online)
  2. Registration fee of Kshs 1,000
  3. Copy of National ID & KRA PIN certificate
  4. Minimum monthly contribution of Kshs 1,500
  5. Minimum share capital of Kshs 10,000

1. Junior Savings Account

  • Minimum deposit: Kshs 200 monthly
  • Annual withdrawals only (early withdrawals charged Kshs 500)
  • Interest earned on balances above Kshs 3,000
  • No monthly fees
  • Birthday rewards for young savers

2. Holiday Savings Plan

  • 6-month savings cycle
  • Minimum Kshs 200 monthly
  • Flexible withdrawals to restart savings

3. Member Deposit Account

1. Development Loan

  • 1% monthly interest (reducing balance)
  • 36-month repayment
  • Kshs 500 processing fee

2. Business Loan

  • 3x savings multiplier
  • 48-month repayment
  • 2% monthly interest

3. Emergency Loan

  • Fast approval within 24 hours
  • 1.25% monthly interest
  • 12-month repayment

4. School Fees Financing

  • 3x savings multiplier
  • 1.25% monthly interest
  • 12-month repayment period

5. Express & Instant Loans

  • Express Loan:
    • Kshs 20,000 maximum
    • 5% monthly interest
    • 5-month repayment
  • Instant Loan:
    • Kshs 10,000 maximum
    • 10% monthly interest
    • 3-month repayment
