Overview
Founded in 1993 to meet the financial needs of members from the Nderi Farmers Co-operative Society (dairy), Ndetika Rural Sacco (NRS) emerged from milk collection centers in Nderi, Tiebae, Karai, and Kamuguga. With a mission to empower members through savings mobilization and affordable financial services, NRS Sacco is a deposit-taking cooperative regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA). Boasting an asset base of KES 0.62 billion, the Sacco offers both Front Office Service Activity (FOSA) and Back Office Service Activity (BOSA) services. Its head office is located at Ondiri House, Kikuyu Town.
Who Can Join?
NRS Sacco welcomes all Kenyans, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, or political affiliation. This inclusive policy ensures that individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those in the diaspora, can access its financial services.
Membership Requirements
To become a member of NRS Sacco, applicants must:
- Complete and sign a membership application form, available on the Sacco’s website or at any branch
- Submit a copy of a National ID
- Provide a recent passport-size photograph
- Include a copy of a KRA PIN certificate
Additional Requirements for Diaspora Members
- Submit a copy of a Kenyan passport
- Provide proof of residency (e.g., residency permit or utility bill)
There is no specified entrance fee, making membership accessible to all eligible applicants.
