The Cabinet of Kenya is part of the Executive arm of the government and comprises the President, Deputy President, Attorney General, and Cabinet Secretaries (CSs). According to the Constitution of Kenya, the number of ministries must not exceed 23.

Cabinet Secretaries are appointed by the President, subjected to parliamentary vetting, and once approved, they are sworn into office. Unlike in the past, CSs are not Members of Parliament (MPs), allowing for separation between the legislature and the executive.

Each CS is responsible for overseeing the operations, policies, and service delivery of their respective ministry. They are accountable to the President and are expected to submit regular and detailed reports to Parliament.
