Overview

Founded in 1974 through the merger of Limuru Marketing Co-operative Union and Kiambu Dairy Marketing Union, K-Unity Sacco is a leading deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Society in Kenya. Initially established to support savings and credit for dairy and pyrethrum societies in Kiambu County, it has grown to serve over 100,000 members across Kiambu, Nairobi, Nakuru, and Nyandarua counties, with an asset base exceeding KES 5.72 billion. Headquartered at K-Unity Building on Biashara Street in Kiambu Town, the Sacco offers a wide range of financial products to empower its diverse membership.

Who Can Join?

K-Unity Sacco welcomes members from various sectors, including:

  • Farmers
  • Business owners
  • Active and retired Teachers Service Commission employees
  • County and national government workers
  • Private sector employees
  • Employees of NGOs and other sectors

Membership Requirements

To become a member, applicants must complete the following:

  • Application Form: Fill out a membership form, available on the Sacco’s website or at any branch office.
  • Membership Fee: Pay a one-time fee of KES 500.
  • Documentation: Submit a copy of a National ID, KRA PIN certificate, and passport-size photographs.
