Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew are returning to movie theaters this summer with a brand-new installment of their wild stunt-comedy franchise. On January 7, Knoxville, co-creator of Jackass, shared a new Instagram post revealing that the next movie will hit theaters on June 26, 2026.
The Return of Jackass
Knoxville, 54, posted a photo of himself along with an image of the Jackass logo, featuring the date “June 26th” prominently. In his caption, he excitedly announced, “Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!”
Knoxville’s announcement was met with excitement from fans and co-stars alike. Steve-O, a longtime Jackass collaborator, commented on the post, saying, “Yeah dude!!!”
What We Know About the New Jackass Movie
While Knoxville has yet to share any further details about the movie—such as its official title or full cast—this new entry in the Jackass series marks the fifth film, following the success of Jackass Forever in 2022. Jackass Forever featured Knoxville along with original cast members Steve-O, Dave England, Wee Man, Chris Pontius, and Preston Lacy, plus celebrity guest appearances.
A Personal Milestone for Knoxville
Knoxville’s announcement of the new Jackass movie comes just under two months after he shared that he married costume designer Emily Ting in November 2025. Ting, who worked as a costume designer on Jackass Forever, is also credited for her work on The Eric Andre Show and the film Bad Trip. Knoxville had previously shared the joyous news on Instagram, where he expressed his happiness: “Today Emily and I got married and I’m the luckiest and happiest fella in the universe.”
Knoxville’s Health and Safety Concerns
In a 2022 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Knoxville revealed that he suffered brain damage after being rammed by a bull during a stunt for Jackass Forever. Doctors advised him that he could not take any more serious hits to the head, which raises questions about the future of stunts in the Jackass series. Fans will likely wonder how this will affect the upcoming movie and the kinds of stunts that will be featured.
