If you’ve ever worried about losing your Safaricom line while living abroad, taking a digital detox, or simply not using it for a while you’re not alone. Many Kenyans have faced SIM deactivation after prolonged inactivity. But thanks to Safaricom’s Daima Service, you can now keep your line active without making calls, topping up airtime, or using data regularly.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to use Safaricom Daima, its benefits, pricing, and why it’s a game-changer for Kenyans living abroad or taking long breaks from mobile use.

What is Safaricom Daima Service?

Safaricom Daima is a SIM preservation service that allows you to keep your Safaricom line active for 6 to 24 months, even if you don’t make calls, send texts, or use mobile data during that time.

Who Is It For?

  • Kenyans living abroad
  • Elderly users with occasional phone use
  • People with multiple lines
  • Those on sabbatical, in remote areas, or using a different primary network

Why Use Safaricom Daima?

Without Daima, your Safaricom line may be deactivated after 90 days of inactivity. Deactivation means:

  • You lose your phone number
  • You risk losing MPESA access and data
  • Your line could be reassigned to another user

With Daima, your SIM stays active, protected, and ready when you need it.
