This article reviews the updated Giraffe Centre entrance fees for 2025. The attraction is located on Nyumbi Road in Lang’ata, around fifteen kilometres from Nairobi’s CBD. Established in 1983 by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, the centre was set up to protect the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. It also serves as an education facility for thousands of students annually. It operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. School groups must book at least a week before visiting and are encouraged to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and midday. Visitors are advised to plan for 1.5 to 2 hours for activities such as giraffe feeding and nature learning experiences.
Purpose of the Centre | The centre focuses on conservation, mainly the survival of the Rothschild’s giraffe. With slightly over 300 remaining in Kenya, the facility offers public education, giraffe feeding platforms, and conservation awareness activities. |
