Established in 1919, AA Kenya Driving School is a leading institution in driver education, with its headquarters at Renaissance Corporate Park, Upper Hill, Nairobi. With over 50 branches nationwide, AA Kenya provides comprehensive training programs recognized by the Kenyan government, international organizations, and private corporations. Training Programs and Fees

AA Kenya offers training for multiple vehicle categories, including motorcycles, saloon cars, trucks, buses, and specialized courses for persons with disabilities (PWD). Below is the 2025 fee structure, which includes training fees and National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) fees, payable separately via the NTSA TIMS platform. Training fees cover the AA driver manual and service charges.

Motorcycle, Light Taxi, Courier, and Three-Wheeler (Category A1/A2/A3)

  • Training Fees: Ksh 5,780
  • NTSA Fees: Ksh 2,450
  • Total: Ksh 8,230

Saloon Car (Category B1/B2/B3)

  • Training Fees: Ksh 18,780
  • NTSA Fees: Ksh 2,450
  • Total: Ksh 21,230

Light/Medium Trucks and Buses (Category C1/C2)

  • Training Fees: Ksh 12,780
  • NTSA Fees: Ksh 2,350
  • Total: Ksh 15,130

Public Service Vehicles (PSV) (Category D1/D2)

  • Training Fees: Ksh 12,780
  • NTSA Fees: Ksh 2,350
  • Total: Ksh 15,130

Special Categories

  • A2 (Boda Boda Operators and Beginners): Tailored for motorcycle riders, including new learners.
  • B3 (Professional Light Vehicles): For professional drivers of light vehicles.
  • D Special Class (PWD): Specialized training for persons with disabilities.
  • Refresher Courses: Available for drivers seeking to enhance their skills.

Defensive Driving Courses

AA Kenya also offers defensive driving programs to promote road safety, improve driver behavior, and enhance vehicle handling skills. These courses are ideal for both new and experienced drivers.

1. Intermediate Defensive Driving Course (With Practical Driving)

  • Description: Focuses on safe driving techniques, attitude, and behavior improvement.
  • Duration: 2 days
  • Cost: Ksh 22,000

2. Intermediate Defensive Driving Course (With Basic Mechanics and Practical Driving)

  • Description: Covers updated highway codes, traffic regulations, and basic vehicle mechanics.
  • Duration: 3 days
  • Cost: Ksh 29,150

3. Defensive Riders Course (Motorcycle Competence)

  • Description: Enhances motorcycle handling and safety skills.
  • Duration: 2 days
  • Cost: Ksh 15,000

4. Intensive Defensive Driving Course

  • Description: Comprehensive training covering first aid, fire control, customer care, road safety, basic mechanics, and driver competency assessment.
  • Duration: 5 days
  • Cost: Ksh 44,000
