Follow these steps to successfully replace your lost passport:

  1. Access the e-Citizen portal and log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the Department of Immigration Services section.
  3. Select the “Passport Application” option.
  4. Indicate whether the application is for yourself or your child.
  5. Choose “Lost Passport” as the application type.
  6. Fill out the passport application form accurately, ensuring all details are correct.
  7. Submit the required payment of Kshs 12,050 for the replacement fee.
  8. Download the completed application form and schedule an appointment with the Department of Immigration Services.
  9. Visit the nearest immigration office in person with all required documents. Offices are located in Nairobi (Nyayo House), Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu, Embu, and Kisii. In-person attendance is mandatory for fingerprint collection.
  10. Allow approximately five working days for processing. When collecting your new passport, bring proof of identification.
