Overview

Established on July 4, 1989, and commencing operations on January 1, 1990, Skyline Sacco, formerly Baringo Farmers Savings and Co-operative Society, is a leading deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Society in Kenya. Regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA), it expanded its offerings with Front Office Service Activity (FOSA) in 2004 to broaden its services. With over 88,000 members, an asset base of KES 2.55 billion, and 12 branches across Kenya, Skyline Sacco is headquartered at Skyrize Plaza, opposite Kobil Petrol Station in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County.

Who Can Join?

Skyline Sacco welcomes a diverse membership from:

  • Dairy farmers
  • Coffee farmers
  • Pyrethrum farmers
  • Business owners
  • Salaried employees
  • Institutions
  • Micro-credit groups in Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, and Nakuru counties

Its open membership policy ensures inclusivity for individuals and groups committed to financial growth.

Membership Requirements

To join Skyline Sacco, applicants must:

  • Be a registered member of a marketing society in Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, or Nakuru counties
  • Channel produce through the marketing society or Kenya Co-operative Creameries (KCC)
  • Pay a one-time entrance fee of KES 200
  • Submit a copy of a KRA PIN certificate
  • Provide one passport-size photograph
  • Submit a copy of a National ID
  • Contribute a minimum of KES 300 per month as deposits
  • Maintain consecutive contributions for at least four months to qualify for a loan

Loan eligibility is based on deposits, with the first loan being twice the deposit amount and subsequent loans up to three times the deposits, subject to merit.

  • Community Concern: Supporting the broader community
