Overview
Established in September 1975, Nation DT Sacco was created to empower its members by promoting savings and providing affordable credit to enhance their economic well-being. Initially serving employees of Nation Media Group, the Sacco has since opened its doors to all Kenyans, fostering inclusivity. As one of Kenya’s leading deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies, Nation DT Sacco boasts an asset base exceeding KES 3.00 billion and has seen significant growth in membership and product offerings over the past decade. Its head office is located on the 1st Floor of Cambrian Building, Moi Avenue, Nairobi.
Who Can Join?
Nation DT Sacco welcomes all Kenyan citizens, regardless of their profession or background. Originally exclusive to Nation Media Group employees, the Sacco now operates an open membership policy to accommodate a diverse community.
Membership Requirements
To become a member of Nation DT Sacco, applicants must:
- Complete a membership application form
- Submit a copy of a National ID
- Pay a one-time entrance fee of KES 1,000
- Fill out a next-of-kin/beneficiary form
- Review and understand the Sacco’s by-laws
- Commit to a minimum monthly savings contribution of KES 3,000
Members transferring from another Sacco are recognized as continuing members and can access all privileges, provided their deposits are transferred from the previous Sacco.
