Kenya National Police SACCO: A Legacy of Financial Empowerment

Established on 20th November 1972 (Registration No. CS/2092), Kenya National Police SACCO has grown from 690 founding members to become one of Kenya’s largest financial cooperatives, currently serving 71,000 members. With an impressive KSh 48.7 billion asset base, the SACCO maintains:

  • KSh 29 billion in member deposits

The SACCO operates branches in Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kakamega, Meru, Nyeri, Kisii, and Nakuru, providing convenient access to financial services nationwide.


Membership Eligibility

The SACCO welcomes applications from:

1. Police Community

  • Serving/retired regular police officers
  • Serving/retired administration police
  • Kenya Police Service civilian employees

2. Institutional Employees

  • Kenya National Police SACCO staff
  • Utumishi Investment Limited employees
  • Ruaraka Housing Estate Limited staff

3. General Public

  • Civil servants
  • Corporate sector employees
  • Business professionals
  • Spouses/children of eligible members

Membership Requirements

Prospective members must submit:

  1. Completed application form (downloadable from SACCO website)
  2. Copy of National ID (both sides)
  3. Two passport-sized color photographs

Membership Withdrawal Process

Members may voluntarily withdraw by:

  1. Submitting written notice of intent to withdraw
  2. Completing official withdrawal form (available at branches)

Processing Timeline:

  • 60 days from acknowledgment date
  • Requires clearance of all outstanding liabilities
  • Replacement of guaranteed members (if applicable)
