Founded in 1972 by civil servants from the Department of Social Services, Jamii Sacco is a prominent deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Society in Kenya. With an asset base of KES 5.44 billion, it ranks among the country’s largest Saccos. Who Can Join?

Membership Requirements
To join Jamii Sacco, applicants must:
- Complete a membership application form, available on the Sacco’s website, at its offices, or through county delegates.
- Provide an original and copy of a National ID.
- Submit a copy of a KRA PIN certificate.
- Pay a one-time entrance fee of KES 1,000.
- Contribute a minimum monthly amount of KES 3,300 (including KES 300 for the Jamii Benevolent Fund).
- Build a minimum share capital of KES 20,000, payable in monthly installments of KES 500.
