Expert Guide: How to Repay Your ABSA Timiza Loan in Kenya

The ABSA Timiza loan platform has become a trusted mobile lending solution in Kenya, offering convenient access to instant credit directly through your phone. Whether you’re looking to repay your own Timiza loan or make a payment on behalf of someone else, this guide will walk you through two easy and secure repayment options using M-Pesa and USSD.

About Timiza Loans by ABSA Kenya

Timiza is a mobile loan service provided by ABSA Bank Kenya, available via the Timiza mobile app or USSD code. It offers personal loans with flexible repayment terms and competitive interest rates. Borrowers can access up to Ksh 250,000 and choose from repayment durations ranging from 30 days to 12 months (1 year).

Failing to repay on time results in a 5% rollover fee added to your outstanding balance. To maintain a good credit score and avoid extra charges, it’s best to repay the loan on or before the due date.

Option 1: How to Repay Your Timiza Loan via M-Pesa Paybill Number 300067

This method is suitable for both self-loan repayment and paying on behalf of another mobile number.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Open your M-Pesa menu (STK) or dial *334#.
  2. Select “Lipa na M-Pesa.”
  3. Tap on “Pay Bill.”
  4. Enter Timiza Business Number: 300067.
  5. For Account Number, input the mobile number associated with the Timiza loan (yours or someone else’s).
  6. Enter the repayment amount.
  7. Key in your M-Pesa PIN and complete the transaction.
  8. You will receive an SMS confirmation from Timiza acknowledging the payment.

Tip: Always double-check the mobile number and amount before submitting the payment to avoid errors.

*Option 2: How to Repay Using Timiza USSD Code 848#

If you don’t have access to the mobile app or prefer using a keypad phone, the USSD method is a convenient alternative.

Follow these steps:

  1. Dial *848# from the phone number registered with your Timiza account.
  2. Enter your Timiza PIN to log in.
  3. Choose the option labeled “Timiza Loan.”
  4. Select “Pay Loan.”
  5. Choose the loan you want to repay.
  6. Enter the repayment amount.
  7. You’ll receive an M-Pesa pop-up prompt on your screen.
  8. Input your M-Pesa PIN to authorize the payment.
  9. Timiza will send a confirmation SMS once the payment is processed.

Benefits of Using Timiza Loan Services

  • Convenience: Apply, receive, and repay loans without visiting a bank.
  • Accessibility: Available 24/7 via app or USSD.
  • Flexible Repayment Terms: Choose a plan that suits your cash flow—from 1 month to a full year.
  • Secure Transactions: All payments go through official ABSA Paybill and M-Pesa services.

Important Reminders

  • Ensure your M-Pesa balance is sufficient before initiating repayment.
  • Keep repayment confirmations for your records in case of future loan queries.
  • If you’re repaying on someone’s behalf, confirm their mobile number to avoid sending payments to the wrong account.
  • To improve your borrowing limit and maintain access to higher loan amounts, always repay on time.

Need Help? Timiza Customer Support

If you face any issues or need assistance, you can reach ABSA Timiza support through the Timiza app, or by visiting an ABSA branch near you.
