Nestled in Homa Bay County near Lake Victoria, Ruma National Park is a hidden gem among Kenya’s 22 national parks, managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS). Situated in the scenic Lambwe Valley, the park is framed by the Kanyamwa Escarpment to the southeast and the volcanic Ruri Hills to the north. Renowned as Kenya’s last sanctuary for the endangered roan antelope and the only protected area for the globally threatened blue swallow, Ruma offers a rich tapestry of wildlife and landscapes. This guide details the park’s 2025 entry fees, highlights its attractions, and provides practical information for planning your visit.
