Nestled in the waters of Lake Victoria, Ndere Island National Park offers a unique wilderness experience just outside Kisumu. Established in 1986 and managed by Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), this 4.2 km² island sanctuary serves as an important conservation area and birdwatcher’s paradise with over 100 avian species.
