Overview

Founded in 1969 as a welfare organization for the subordinate staff of the Kenya Posts & Telecommunications Corporation (KP&TC), Telepost Sacco, originally Posta Sacco, has evolved into one of Kenya’s leading deposit-taking Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies. Renamed in 1999 following the restructuring of KP&TC into the Communication Commission of Kenya, Telkom Kenya, and Postal Corporation of Kenya, the Sacco has grown significantly in membership and share capital. Starting with fewer than 100 members and a modest KES 20 monthly contribution, it now serves a diverse community with an asset base supporting its operations. The Sacco is headquartered at City Square Post Office, 5th Floor, Haile Selassie Avenue, Nairobi.
