How to Apply for a Driving Instructor License in Kenya
- Visit the NTSA website and sign in to the self-service portal. If it’s your first time, you’ll need to register an account on TIMS.
- Navigate to the ‘Driving License’ option in the menu bar.
- Choose ‘Apply for Driving Instructor License’ from the menu.
- Complete the Driving Instructor License application form with accurate details and upload scanned copies of all required documents as listed on the site. Review the information for accuracy.
- Proceed to the payment page by clicking ‘Next’.
- The page will display the license fee, which is Kshs 1,050, along with convenience charges.
- Select your preferred payment method, either Mpesa or bank, and complete the payment.
- Print out the payment invoice after payment completion.
- Click ‘Submit’ to process the application.
- You’ll receive an SMS notification once your driving instructor license is ready for collection.
- Upon notification, visit the NTSA offices as instructed, bringing your National ID and invoice printout. NTSA officials will verify your documents and issue the Driving Instructor License.
