Netflix confirmed that the move is to ensure that their customers feel the value for their money as they provide a wide variety of content for consumers.
Their new charges will see the mobile plan price drop from Ksh 300 to Ksh 200, the basic plan will drop from Ksh 700 to Ksh 300, the standard plan will drop from Ksh 1,140 to Ksh 700 and the premium plan will drop from 1,450 to Ksh 1100 effective 21st February at 8 am.
New members joining the platform will be able to see the new prices immediately as existing members will get the updates in the coming weeks depending on their billing cycle.
Existing members will also be able to receive email notifications before the new charges are applied as some have enrolled in auto-renewal.
